A great idea!

A friend of mine put up three peices of string about 2 feet long up with tacs along a wall. Like this:

Then she took a little basket of clothes pins and this is where her three girls art is... they get to put stuff up there, when they get full she has them pick things to take down when they want to put something up. She always has their art show cased that way and the kids stuff does not clutter the kitchen where she wants to keep clean.

This is just a thought... I am thinking of doing it on some wall myself....

Great idea! We do this, LOL. Although I only have one string and it's a big high up b/c Jacob would likely pull it down.

Here's a pic (an old pic):

Lauren I LOVE that corner! LOVE it! It looks so homey, natural and nice! I want to finish the play stands for Cyans birthday... they have been sitting in my garage for a year. lol... but I did not do them right the first time and felt as though I needed to do it right... what a waste of time and energy! I should just put them together and get it done, but I would rather do it right still. I just need to do it. Anyway... I really love that corner!

That's a great idea. My fridge gets so cluttered with ds's pictures, it makes me feel frazzled. That play area is so cool, Lauren!

Another idea I saw was to use curtain rods (the nicer ones) and then curtain clips to display art.

Aw, thanks! It does not look like that anymore, LOL. Right now the dollhouse is in the corner that used to be the doll/reading corner, and the playstands are kind of free-form, one against the wall and one in the middle of the space. And we have a different bookcase there. Anyway. I actually may put it back that way! What was happening was the trains (you can see them on the bottom shelf) were getting spilled out into the main walkway of the room, so I tried various ways to corral everything. Now I have put all the little stuff away in the closets to make it easier to have them take only a few items like that out at a time.
