One section of the house I have left to declutter...

I several bins in the garage that I need to go through. The problem is that some of it is pictures and dolls that I got when my mom died. The dolls smell really bad (musty). I have no idea on how to clean them up, they are from the 1950's. Any ideas? Also I have a ton of pictures. I really don't know what to do with them. How do I organize tons of pictures?

Also it is kinda emotional to go through this stuff, so it takes me forever to go through it.

Sorry for blabbering, I guess I need encouragement to get going on this stuff. I have been putting it off for over a year.

I would make the pics into albums, just quickly, tossing what isn't needed. Think about how much nicer it would be to be able to sit down and thumb through an album of pictures with good memories, than to have a box in the garage that just drags you down.

I would take the dolls to a doll hospital and see what can be done. I know for books, once musty, you cannot fix them, they must be tossed (from working in a bookstore, we had to be very careful about not accepting musty books). Dolls might be different. If they can't be de-mustified, maybe you could take pictures of them for sentimental reasons?
