Ooh, those are really nice (as I shove my head into a bag in shame)! I like the monochromatic coloring -- you could even use roving that was a lighter shade of the tale (like light blue "skin" to go with a darker blue tail). Make sense?

Lori - I liked your mermaids too, don't hide your head I tell you, its the roving that makes all the difference! It helps make them fat. And notice I didn't have to wrap the bottom half of them.
I like the idea of colored roving. I found some teeny colored beads to adorn them too.

Thanks, I am going to work on my felt dolphins (group 1) and then leave the mermaids to the last. I am considering changing to a treasure chest, but not sure.
