Oh my - my boys just saw me making sculpy coins for the treasure chest and of course they wanted to know all about what I was doing. They are very excited about the idea of a pirate set (for those of you with little boys, be cheered by the thought that these toys will have lasting play value - my boys are 8 and 9!).

Anyway - my boys had some ideas for things that MUST be in a pirate set:

a cannon and cannon balls. They actually had a great idea to take one of my lip balm tubes and (somehow) attach buttons on it for wheels and paint in black for a cannon - such smart boys.

swords and knives

a spyglass

a marketplace for the pirates to spend their treasure in!

at least 2 ships - one for the pirate, and one to rob.

Barrels and pumpkins and apples for ship supplies.

Aren't they just full of ideas! Anyway, I thought I'd share the kiddo point of view on what every pirate needs
