i had meant to put an Inuit/Eskimo type swap in there too. That would be a good one for next winter.

And we will need a spring swap as well. As soon as we get some of these ones out of the way

I was thinking of doing the spring ones with the garden party one, all due on 3.24. Then I would be getting everything back to everyone just in time for the warmer weather

Those misc swaps ... they could just be fit in any time. I only listed them that way because they weren't seasonal so didn't have to be done at a specific time. We could add them in any time, just like the wizard, fantasy creatures, etc.

If someone is hosting a seasonal swap and also has amisc one they want to host they can have them due at the same time to save on shipping for everyone

OK..sounds good too me

I have some swaps due the first of March and then on MArch 10th. I could host the apothacary swap too and have it due March 10th as well. Great idea BTW

Or if any upcoming swaps woudl look like they would fit into the time frame of the Mythology swaps and Creature swap I could host. Just tell me and I will do it..LOL! Really I dont mind Whatever will make it easier and more affordable for all

i'd like to have my native american swap coincide with the scenary swap due april 17th. i'd like to add a tiny things native american swap too for that same time. then - those who don't want to make a big thing but still need native american accessories can join.

so then how do i do sign-ups for the native american swap? should i do it now or wait until later?

Just another oddball idea:

What about a Crafty Kids swap? That way the children can really show their talents as well. 3 of mine are helping me with the ice cream bowls for the
Birthday tiny things so I was thinking, if they got to choose what to make, they might really like that. It doesn't even have to have a theme!!
for example, if my dd makes bendies and yours does needles felted bunnies, GREAT!! If your ds wants to make something from fimo, it doesn't matter what it is cause the children would know that other children made it and would LOVE it!

Has this ever been done before and if so, how did it turn out?

I don't know ... I have a couple that will be due with a current swap of mine too. I know we promised not to start any new swaps until we have some of these out of the way, but we are no good at keeping promises, lol! I have no problem having more sign ups now, and I know Kris will not have a problem with it either, or Rebecca... but I don't want to totally overwhelm others that might not want to see more sign ups right now. I personally need to have a million things on my to do list in order to be happy. But that's just me

Anyway, I guess i am saying I don't know what we should do, lol! We said we wouldn's start any new ones, but really that is pretty much what we are doing here anyway. We're still planning them, setting up rough mailing dates and organizers, just not taking official sign ups. I don't know ... what does everyone else think? Of course, I know who has been reading this thread, and it's most of us who don't mind being signed up for tons of swaps at once, lol, so I am probably asking the wrong people!

If you want my opinion, I would be fine with having the entire year all mapped out with swaps and being signed up for each and every one of them

We did a kid's craft kit swap in the fall, which worked out well, but is nothign like what you are thinking.

I think that McKenna would be interested in something like this though. She is always making random little things and telling me she wants me to sell them on Knitteds & Fitteds, lol! And she frequently makes things and tells me that they are for a swap with MiaPia (who is someone i swapped with on MDC almost 2 years ago, but for some reasno that username totally stuck in Kenna's head, because I still hear it at least once or twice a month, lol).

Why not add this one to the Swap I have due on MArch 10th...An "witch/wizards apocathary" swap -- dried herbs, dried flowers, seeds, seed pods, etc.

I will post sign ups for it later this week since March is still while from now
