so what have we decided about further swaps?

are we putting a hold on them? i was wondering when we would actually have our dates set a year in advance! we were getting close!!!!

since we all have great ideas - why don't we have a sticky just for ideas. then as one gets done we can work down the list. it would help people plan ahead too - picking and choosing which ones they want to wait for so they don't get overwhelmed. should also help with the excitement frenzy when someone lists a swap idea that is cool!!!

some ideas i had:
native american
different ethnic groups (italians - irish - polish etc)
very specific items - like drums only
different race families
modes of transportation

ooh - i know i thought about more last nite in my dreams! LOL

Oh, and I think that a sticky for ideas is a great idea. Let's brainstorm ideas here in this thread then I can compile them into a single post and have Dannielle sticky that as the idea thread

I think that as we move through these swaps we can start some new ones. For instance, once all the dswaps are sent out and finished for January, then maybe we can start one or two more due in June ...

Of course, tiny things can be done at any time because we don't necessarily need to craft for those. Tiny found or purchased items are great for those too and those are lots of fun!

I would also love to do some other swaps geared towards younger kiddos. Holden is only just turning 2 in February and I would love to be able to swap for items for him, items that do not have to be treated quite as gently as the nature table items

Transportation would be awesome.

Dear Mom and Dad- I may parent differently than you did. This does not mean that I think you did it "wrong." However, it also does not mean I am doing it wrong.

this is a great idea. I know I have it all planned out (date-wise) but it would be nice to hold off for a bit.

I also would like to do a camp-out theme.
Tents, lanterns, sleeping bags, fire, marshmellows, etc.

wedding and camping would be really cool!

we did a summer swap this past summer and Peppermint and her dd made little bendy sleeping bags and pillow and campfires. Those pieces are still some of Kenna's favorites

I want a celtic mythology one but can't host.

Lindsey has requested a Harry Potter themed one.. but again, I can't host. If someone's up to the challenge, I'd need a spot for each kid

once ideas are brainstormed we would leave it up to bonnie and danielle to put them in "priority" order for us...based on reactions to ideas in this thread. is that okay bonnie?
