I am going to make minature seed packets (with seeds in some or all) and a ladybug for each set I do ;-) I'm not sure if the ladybug will be felted or wooden yet or a combo. i am definitely making enough for everyone on the list

Actually, that really doesn't mean anything for this swap, lol. Ichanged the set up after the OP Normally, it means you would be sending 2 sets of items so that you woul dreceive 2 sets back. But the way I am doing this swap is that you just send as many items as you would like and I will send you back as many items as you sent in. So if you want to make 8 items, you will get 8 in return. If you want 2 identical sets, I can probably do that though

Ok, being a bit impaired on this one too. So if, say for example, there are 10 moms in the swap and I only send in 5, I am going to miss out on the other things that the other 5 made, right? Or am I just not getting something. What if everyone but me sends in the 10, won't someone get stiffed? I am just not "seeing" it. I am visual, can you tell? Thanks for clearing it up, it has been on my mind.

I am just going to pool everything that comes in and then divvy it up. If you sent in 5 items you will get 5 items back. Just like the stocking stuffer swap that Jodi hosted. Not everyone got the same items, because not everyone sent in the same number of items, and also while one person may have sent 10 of one thing, someone else may have sent 10 items, but sent 5 each of 2 different things. KWIM? When I divvy everything up , I will go by ages/gender of the children to determine who gets what.

ok, so I just made 8 packets of seeds They are soooo cute, I made them from paper, then taped them for reinforcement and are 1 inch by 3/4 inch and I made 8 different ones, the strawberry packet i will add real strawberry seeds to, from my soap supplies, I don't think they will sprout tho, lol If i have any other seeds that match the packets I made I will add those too. And I have one called 'seeds of love' I think I will stuff with a couple of teeny heart shaped 'seeds'.
It only took me an hour to think the seed packet thru and create them, then about 40 minutes to put one set together
I would be fine with including something else....maybe a couple of plant stakes matching the seeds or I had mentioned a ladybug....has anyone ever ordered lady bugs, how do they come? in a crate or bag? I was thinking of making a crate or bag of mini mini ladybugs or I could do the one ladybug.
anyway, I'm excited
or maybe I could include a mini tote bag to keep the seed packets in.....
does anyone mind that they are paper?

thanks, lol, I was talking about live ones, I know many gardeners order them to help with pests in the garden...I was thinking I could make a mini crate or box that said on the outside 'live ladybugs' and 'garden helpers' and have either 1 mini teeney tiny ladybug or a bunch of paper ones, or 1 felted one amoung all the paper ones, they would be eraser size......in my imagination so far, lol anyhoo, I am talking out loud here

www.insectlore.com

I have ordered live ladybugs and live caterpillar larva from them many times. they only ship at certain times of the year, to avoid the buggies freezing or being too hot during shipping. I have never had a problem with them being shipped to me before (I have ordered 4-5 times between my Kindergarten classes and McKenna). There is info on the site about how they ship. I can't remember exactly how they ship the ladybugs. I know the caterpillars just come in a little platic cup with a lid and food at the bottom; you keep them in there until they make their chrysalises.

I am thinking of doing these small felt bunnies. I am pretty sure they will fit in larger eggs, any opinions? Do they seem ok? This was my first, so I will hopefully improve! ha ha ha I will use a more appropriate thread color for the stitching next time so it won't be SO 'stand-out-ish"
