Reverse Crafty swap???

Is this even the right spot for this? LOL.

I did one of these on another board, and it was awesome.

Post what you can make, choices will be due first of January and shipping mid to end January (is this enough time to recoup from the holidays?). Maybe a $15-20 value?

Anyone want to play? (you'll have to be nice, it's my first time organizing a swap if we do decide to do it).

Ok, to clarify,
-list the different packages ($20 value) you can make (it can be a single item, or a couple things to get to the value). Please number them if you are offering more than 1.

-List how many packages you want to send out (up to 3).

-If you are wanting to send out more than 1 package, please let me know how many of each set you can make.

-When you make your choices, you will send in your top three. (so if I wanted to pick myself, I would say I want marina's #3). I will then list matches and you guys can contact each other to get addresses/info/etc.

-----------------------------
Here is my list (I don't know if that all makes sense)

I want to send out 2 packages, here are the things that I can send

1. knit hat and mittens set, baby-small child (can send 1)
http://www.sunshynejewelry.com/pictures/purplehat.jpg

2. Felted LTK Mocs, newborn-preschool size (can send 2)
http://www.sunshynejewelry.com/pictures/berry.jpg

3. 2 pairs of flannel pj pants baby- preschool size(you pick gender, I pick fabric) (can send 1)
http://www.sunshynejewelry.com/pictures/Currentfs1.jpg

4. 2 skeins of hand dyed yarn (you pick colors) ( can send 1)

Oooh I would love to do it.. but I have never done this type of swap before.. do we make just one item, or several? Do we post everything we are willing to make and swap or just one thing? How are the matches done- do you request?

Sorry for all the Q's

Dear Mom and Dad- I may parent differently than you did. This does not mean that I think you did it "wrong." However, it also does not mean I am doing it wrong.

I can do 2 swaps.

#1 alligator hatchling w/egg cracker

#2 turtle hatchling with egg cracker. Species yet to be determined but it'll be a loggerhead or giant sea.
This is a leather back but just an idea.

Ok, I think I clarified. I added all the info to the OP, and added my list.

Any questions?

When should we end this? 3rd or 4th week of January?

I can do wool animals. I currently have patterns done for horses/zebras, donkey, lions, tigers, bears, penguins, otter, ermine, cat, dog, scottie dog, chipmunk, squirrel, pig, cow, seal, walrus, dolphin, dragon, snake, crocodile, wolf, fox, bunny, giraffe, camel, sheep, turtle, and some bugs but can try something else if you had something in particular in mind.
Umm, I can also do crocheted hats and berets, scarfs, mittens, booties and arm warmers in either wool, cotton, or hemp/wool blend.

Ok I am in.. I will do 3 becuase I can!

I can make wine bottle lights- with custom labels.. they would match your decor and have your text (i.e. Doug and Zoe-Anne Vintage 1992) I can make any amount.. pics available

Lighted glass blocks.. these are glass blocks with holes drilled and a strand of lights inside.. with custom label of your choice.. makes great night lights or just pretty decorations.

Altered Paint Cans (gallon or 2 quart size).. decor of your choice.. Custom Label to your specifications graphic /text and beaded handle (gallon only).. I also make these into piggy banks.. you can make a "potty mouth" bank or laundry tip jar. These make great "gift baskets"

Favor boxes or any items on my website.. www.SimplyShowersPlus.com

How about choices in by the 3rd of January then. Stuff sent by the 27th. It gives us 3.5 weeks to get our crafts all ready.

Good for everyone?

Zoe-Anne, I want to see pictures of those block lights... I cannot get a mental image (and ds *needs* a new night light)

Ok.. I don't have any pics of mine.. lol (I am always rushing to finish them- and mail them before I get a chance to photo)

but these are from a lady that purchases her graphics at the same place I do.. and they are what I would make.

This link on how to make them shows several lighted up a bit better. http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_occasion...313693,00.html

I have both the 8x8 inch and the 4x8 inch ones drilled- it just depends on what the design is like on what I choose. You can have a design on both sides.. like a room theme on one side.. and the other with "Tooth Fairy Stop here tonight" on the other and just turn it around when needed. They give of a nice soft light that is not too bright. They do not get too hot... but they are heavy and made of glass so they should not be where kids could knock it down. Also I use white strand christmas lights that do not have an off/on switch- so you would either need to plug it in at night, or put on one of those light switch activated plugs- but really leaving it on all the time would do no harm.
