Dear Mom and Dad- I may parent differently than you did. This does not mean that I think you did it "wrong." However, it also does not mean I am doing it wrong.
I think I will give this stuff to my ds who is turning 6 on Feb. 21, it will be a late gift still, he'll love it!
Ya know, I just think that these swaps are a blessing for me in that respect. I had been searching for affordable, nice piratey stuff for over a year. This will be even more special because I will "know" who made all the items!!!!
Like huntersmama, I just don't know if I can hang on to some of it for very long. It will take will-power!!

I found some treasure chests at Micheal's but I'll have to hit another one to find enough, there seemed to be a lot of them with broken closures. Now to paint and fill with all sorts of goodies!

a pirate can always use a crew or trees for the island, oh can you do parrots? every pirate needs a parrot doesn;t he??? rafts woudl be cool, no one is doing those

pirate bendies (i bought some peg legs this weekend, so I am probably going to do these, but i have to make a ptototype to see if i like the way it comes out first before i commit)
parrots would be great, every pirate needs a parrot
ships
treasure chests
treasure maps
an island with trees, sand, shells
an ocean playmat
rafts would be good
more pirate dolls, don't have to be bendies, could be clothespin dolls or other little wooden dolls
gold coins and other treasure, pirates can never have enough gold and treasure
a crow's nest for the pirate ship
a jolly roger backdrop for behind the nature table
row boat
pirate accessories like eye patches, pirate hats, etc., all bendy sized to dress up bendies that people already have
pirate wench (alright, well, we won't call her that to the kids, lol!)

My peg leg bendy pirates are not coming out like i want them to I think I am going to scrap this idea for now and go with row boats. I just found them and they are really cute!
