I LOVE the idea of an accessory bag. I am doing a picnic lunch and was going to add in some tiny books (I already have them) so if you want to do magazines that'd be cool too. The books are plain pieces of paper inside. My children went nuts over them cause you can actually write in them.

The little mats are clay, and the sand is "sandy" with embossing powder. I will include afew umbrellas because they break easily (and because I had to buy 144 of them in a package, lol). The fish are tiny glass fish and real tiny shells.
Sorry about all the dancing cukes ... Holden is on my lap laughing hysterically at them!

WOW!! cool and you just helped me get one step closer to figuring out my basket delimna. I couldn't find any miniature ones for the picnics, I could crochet them quite quickly though, hmmm. I forget all the different ways there are to make things!!
I'm going to need to drop out of this one. I have a lot of things going on this month- more than planned and I just can't do it all. I'll offer up my spot on the crafting board....

The Beach towles are cute..and the beach balls too...so what if I make little sand castles in place of the totes. They just look wrong...LOL
It is kind of fun and frustrating at the same time to work on new things!! My picnic baskets have taken all forms and most of them not so great!! I am working on crochet right now with hemp/wool yarn I got from a co-op. Glad to get to use it cause I ain't doin no knittin right now, that's fer sure!!! I am all for sand castles too!!
