Ooh! we just got our stuff too. I had to send Maya on a mini mission to hide stuff from her but did giver her the finger puppets (she loves the worm) and she is wearing the crown. I am SOOOOO happy we got a taggie blanket. And the first tooth and first curl set is perfect.

I am sooooooo glad that the crown is a hit. I made them (and they were lots of fun to do) and I always worry about how well things will be liked. Sarah

LOL - plus your box is heavy, Hastings You'll get to see just how obsessive compulsive I am.. there are individual bags in there labelled for you and for Tiff as well as for Lorelei and for Ambre along with a note telling you what the things that didn't fit into the bags were intended for.

I had lists - and lists of lists.. and even more lists. And I ended up putting in some extra stuff to make sure that no one got any of their own stuff back, since we had some people drop out and it skewed the ages a bit.. so I gave some of it to a friend for her little boy's stocking too since I had some duplicates left over.

It was a lot of fun though, and I loved hosting it.. but after dragging it all to the post office, in the middle of dealing with our flooded house.. well, DH says I can't host anymore and he wishes I'd just quit swapping. I'll agree to not host.. but I'm sticking with the crafty swaps

That's right woman - you show him who the boss is! DH has no clue what I do. He can't even decipher between the sewing/embroidery/sewing machines I have (that he paid for). As far as DH is concerned I am on a never ending craft binge and he's along for the ride

LOL - my mistake was sending HIM to the post office and telling him to make sure to get delivery confirmation on everything... he lugged all that stuff out, came back to vent.. went back out to the car.. came back in asking if I really needed dc on everything.. went back out.. came back in asking if I'd promise not to send any more packages for the rest of the year.. and then came home to tell me he'd just spent $160 on postage and I needed to quit swapping. He did cheer up when I told him everyone was paying their own postage, but boy was he a grumpy man.. really though, he probably would have been okay if we werent in the middle of the homeowners issues.

Why don't you print postage with PayPal? That would be so much simpler for you!
And, ahem, I'm still waiting on an arch measurement

well, umm.. the flood in my living room affected the part of the room where the main computer was.. and the printer.. and that all had to be taken apart and dried out before it could be used, then we didn't have a place to set it up, thanks to all the living room furniture in the dining room.. and then we don't have a special little connecting hookie up thingie to make the printer work with the laptop.. and.. the boxes had to get out of the way because of all of the above.

What really sucks is that I'd even bought a nifty little postal scale *just* for this swap.. and thanks to the darn water heater, my little scale is sitting there, unused and unloved...

And, I posted to the other thread, but I'll tell you here too.. I'm trying to search through the chaos that is now my dining room to find the tape measure.. and as soon as I find it, I'll PM you

Maybe you can sneak and do another swap or something- when your floor is not flooded.

You did a great job of sorting. I had to hid in the corner of my sewing room to peek in the box. Thanks for making it easier to stuff my stockings for twins!

Do you have a feedback link?

Tawnya

PS was it hastings that did the crocheted frogs? Those are great!

Crochet frogs? I wanna see! Speaking of crochet - can someone explain the bag I got? It said it was a doll purse but I need to see an action shot because I can't figure it out.

LOL - open it up so that you can see the inside.. the part that lifts up is a dolly blanket that's attatched. Toys r us has little dolls that size, I know - and I figure it'd be a great size for bendies or nature table dolls Pull the string, it scrunches up at the top and becomes a purse Hastings made both those and the frog bags If anyone is dying for one, I did end up with one of the dolly purses for each of my girls (both are red/white/blue) and a frog bag for Josh that I might be willing to trade.. it's not like Leila is going to be playing with dolls anytime in the near future - and the other two don't know about them and therefore wouldn't notice, kwim? I'd take a picture if I could.. but again, that'd have to be downloaded onto the main computer, which is somewhere in the mess that is my dining room...

oh, and I do have a feedback link.. it's in my siggy I know it'd be in the original post if it doesn't show up here
