I wanna do a swap ~Please Ship ASAP!~

Let's keep this small. How about 5 items, ship to me and I'll ship back out. So, 6 people (or 5 more after me). Post here if you're interested. If we don't find one more, I'll just take 2 spots. I already have 2 different sets of items ready so it's not a big deal.

SHIP DATE AUGUST 20!!! Please include a check or cash in the amount of $3.85. If the cost of mailing is significantly less I will refund the differences. I bet a flat rate envelope will be the easiest. In the past I have included an already addressed and stamped flat rate envelope for returning my items. If you could do this, or at least a flat rate stamp, that would be awesome. It would make the PO a bit less of a challenge, lol.

~~THE LIST~~
Moonglow (n/a)
Sunflower (R-$)
huntersmama (R)
Moonglow2 (n/a)
Maegansmama
Korwynne (R)

R=received $=shipping $ received

I'm actually considering selling the items I'm sending to you all. I would love some feedback once you get them.

I am interested. Does it need to be a certain type of item?

Dear Mom and Dad- I may parent differently than you did. This does not mean that I think you did it "wrong." However, it also does not mean I am doing it wrong.

I was just going to make it a "whatever you feel like crafting" swap. Anyone opposed? The item I was going to make is multi-use. It would be swell on a nature table, or as a toy.

so, just let our creativity go wild?!?
is there a price range?
for child or mama or doesn't matter?
Sorry, I'm all for creativity, but a teeny amount of guidelines might help, lol
should we post what we can do or let it be a surprise or list a list of options.
ok
i'm so sorry, you don't have to make guidelines for me, I can just go wild, lol

I'd be interested too, if there were some guidlines that would tell me what the heck to make, or at least consider a price range for...

I wasn't going to fuss over a price guideline. Mostly because I NEVER know what in the world something is worth, lol. I've never gotten anything less than cute so I personally wasn't worried about that part. How about not more than $8/item. Okay, you want a theme, I'll give you all a theme! Each item must have either red or brown in it somewhere. Be creative. Red or brown, or both. That ought to teach you to demand a theme lllbbbbtttt:. Hee-hee . Also, let's mail by August 15th. Is that long enough? I'll post our list in the OP. Here is who is playing:

Moonglow
Sunflower
huntersmama
Gronilot
Megansmama
Korwynne

I have never done a swap like this.. do we send you something to help cover shipping?

To get this strait.. we make 5 identical items and send to you.. you then collect all of the things, and mail us a package that has one thing from everything else?

Is this a surprise? I was going to do something personalized.. so would need to contact the other particpants to get some info... Let me know if I need to go in another direction.

I am also leaving on vacation August 6 until the 18 so I need to get mine to you before I leave.

red or brown? remind me never to ask you for a theme again - LOL. Of course, that'd be fall stuff too..

Maybe people could post their fav. colors, ages of kids, color themes in their house, etc? Anything people really like/dislike, etc? Allergies?

I'm trying to decide what I'll do - but I'd like it to be useful/loved to the recipients, kwim? If I can get some idea of what people are into, it'd make it easier

I don't know if I'll make identical items, or personalized - but if they're not identical, I'll mark them with who they're for to make it easy for you. And I don't mind if anyone wants to contact me with any questions either..

but to start - I don't really have any color schemes through my house, but my kitchen is decorated in teapots.. we have a "nature table" - but it gets used for holiday stuff or other things as well, not just nature/season related. Currently it's got a magical setup rather than something summer oriented. My children are Lindsey, Joshua and Leila.. Lindsey is 4, her nickname is ladybug and we collect fairies for her. Her favorite colors are pink, purple, green, and yellow. She also likes princesses (not Disney), ballerinas and my little pony. Joshua is 2 1/2, his nickname is duckie, and we collect gnomes/dragons/elves/wizards for him. His favorite colors are green, burgundy, burnt orange and gold - like the colors of fall leaves. He also likes dinosaurs and Bob the builder. Leila is 3 days old currently.. her nickname is honeybee, and we're collecting mermaids for her. The colors we're going with for her (for her room, etc) are ocean type colors - blue, teal, turquoise and purple. She likes to nurse, and anything soft. I don't have many non-plastic baby safe toys My favorite colors are green and blue - if you send anything like bags or clothing or jewelry, I prefer muted colors rather than "in your face" kind of things.. I like to blend in, rather than stand out. I don't have pierced ears, and I'm allergic to strawberries and nuts (and avoid even the scents of them). Fall is my favorite season, and I love anything fall related. I also love anything goddess/pagan and anything celtic. I don't wear make up or perfume.

As to the mailing date, can we make it a week later? I'm not supposed to drive for at least 2 weeks, and he'd prefer 3 if I'm having any problems... and as to value.. I'd like to make stuff people will enjoy and don't care much about value either

Next?

Yes, you can either send cash or a check with your items to cover shipping, or you can paypal me. I'm betting $3.85 will be plenty since it will likely all fit into a flat rate.

It can be a surprise, or you can contact (or post here) everyone. It doesn't matter really, it's up to you. You can send yours early. I'm going to extend the date since I've had one request for that. August 20 is the new date so you could send when you return if you want to.

I'm Gwen. Our kitchen is red/white/black 50's diner style. I would love decor items for the kitchen. The other rooms have not been done yet so I can't help you there, lol. Winnie is almost 5 and our princess. She loves pinks and purples, tiny things for fairies, and dressing up like - you guessed it - a princess, lol. She would love a crown or a princess hat. Finn is 3 and also loves dressing up. His favorite color is yellow. He also would love a crown. They both love to create and kits for crafts would be awesome. Zellie is 3.5mos and has just started reaching and grabbing, followed by stuffing whatever item has touched her hands into her mouth. We are very short on toys for her, so we would love some soft toys for her to chew on. Textures and noise are always a bonus. Some things I'm interested in but haven't gotten around to are a wallet for me, bonnets for Winnie and Zella with a neck flap to protect necks, anything giftable for a plethora of family members with even more interests, lol. We love stuff for nature tables, tiny play. We also camp a lot so anything useful for camping is much appreciated. I am Pagan so anything celtic knot, goddess, earth based is wonderful. My favorite season is fall. I would be in awe of anyone who could make me a mosquito for the nature table. Can't have a nature table without mosquitos when you live in Missouri, lol. 2 would be even better (these obviously don't need to be actual size, hee-hee). I love coffee and would kiss anyone who could make me reusable "pods" for a pods coffee maker. I have muslin but haven't gotten around to making any. I can't visualize how they would work. I can give you specs if you want to tackle this project.
