I'm in a creative slump
lately nothing holds my interest - even embroidering has gotten boring. I think I have tried just about everything a person could make and I can't think of anything I want to do. I hope this passes soon, it's driving me batty to sit on the couch and try to think of something I can make...
I get this way sometimes, too. Maybe use the time to organize/inventory your stash... I often discover patterns and supplies that I'd forgotten about and that re-inspires me.

Oh, SO fun and easy.
1) find an image and print it out in black and white - greyscale is my preference (or you can draw one) OR you can draw right on the dull side of the freezer paper itself (or print onto it, I hear, but I haven't tried that).
2) layer printed sheet over the freezer paper, tape down, and use an x-acto knife to cut out either all the white or all the black - depending on what you want it to look like
3) using a hot iron, iron the freezer paper, glossy side down, onto a tee shirt - it will stick, but not permanently
4) using textile paint or craft paint with fabric medium and a stenciling brush (something you can dab on versus painting strokes) layer on the paint.
5) while it's still wet, peel off your stencil, let dry for 24 hours, then heat set per the paint directions (I use a hot iron, some use a dryer)
et voila
You can search "freezer paper stencils" here and find some of my posts.

thanks mama, now i just need to buy some freezer paper
I wasn't feeling much like making things when we first moved ( kind of depressed actually, because just as I was learning how to do woodworking, we moved to an apartment where I can't use my power tools). Gardening has helped me a lot. It's a different sort of creative outlet, but it is still creative.
Aidan and I were out working on a little fairy garden today.

i was in a big slump for a while. i pretty much FORCED myself to get out to the sewing shop and get cracking on something, ANYTHING! i started out making some easy undies for myself (super fun, easy and instantly gratifying!) then i realized that my dd needed shorts and skirts and dresses and.......well you catch my drift! i've been keeping myself pretty busy lately with various sewing projects!
also, what about needle felting or spinning? i have lots of fresh alpaca and sheep fiber if you ever want to trade!
and are you really running on waste veggie oil? if so, YOU ROCK!
