KnS..and presenting Mrs. Noah AKA Na'amah

Because I was curious..I wanted to know if Mrs. Noah actually had her own name..in the Bible she doesn't, but according to Jewish Tradition her name is Na'amah and instead of the animals, her job was to gather the various seeds for each plant. I sort of enjoyed that story making our traditional mrs. noah into a sort of mother nature!

anyway, here she is, alone and with her husband:
Oh..I needle felted her hair on as well..decided to go with a blondy color instead of gray

Thanks for looking!

Ooh, what a fabulous tradition. Now I need to know more. What's the reference?

I'm starting to think I need to do a needlefelted Noah set. I've got to stop opening your posts. They are far too cute.

Mrs. Noah is just great. I love the tradition that you spoke of. Would like to know where I can find out more about it.

I really like your knitting and the story about Mrs. Noah having her own important role to play!

I think it's cool, too. I am most definitely teaching that story to Sophie, assuming she ever decides they are not the Grandmommy and Grandaddy dolls!!

She is wonderful!

And if you want to "flesh out" the story even more, read Madeline L'Engle's Many Waters. I just finally read it and its delightful.
