I'm making a countdown calendar for Thanksgiving a la PBK. If I ever find the materials I got

I want to hand embroider and otherwise embellish the felt squares for each pocket - but it's slow going and november is already here.

I have decided to take this year off of crafting!
I don't think I have ever done that before and am interested to see if I can make it through the seasons without giving in!

I am looking forward to seeing what others are going to do! (one reason I replied on this thread was to check back and see what's up!!!)

Wow! What restraint! I don't know if I could NOT create anything - it keeps me awake at night, but then not finishing does, too - so I can't win

i crocheted a bunch of kitchen rugs, trivets and soap bags back in may. i also bought a bunch of plastic bag holders, that another amitymama made, to throw in the mix - so all yule shopping for friends and family is complete.

i still dont know what to give andy. we have no money and none will be coming in. i cant think of anything to make him that i havent already done so i might write a short story for him. oh. a painting. i havent done a painting for him in a few years..

well see crafting I'm going to be full of.

I've got this "plan" for a pirate themed x-mas tree. I've been collecting the part since last x-mas clearance. Now I just need to get them all in one place

Oh & I really want to learn how to make some bendies. There is a lady in our homeschool group that makes them while the kids are in classes. I'm thinking of getting her to show me while DD is busy & that way they could be a surprise too.

And I'm going to make the beaded mandala/snowflake garland to go on my silver mirror in my living room.

Oh and I totally want the folded paper stars book from Nova Naturals. I can see DD & I making a bunch of those for fun one snowy day.

Then there is the knitting & sewing & a few recycled materials projects for my Etsy shop. Umm, and probably some other random ideas depending.

I am making my Dad a needle felted wall haning of a fish. I may make my sister a bag with a recycled wool sweater if I am feeling couragous. I'm considering making beer cozies for my brother and brother in law (maybe my sister too!). That is all that is in the works so far.

Rebeccas that is an ENCHANTING picture of Elianna! WOW!

anyhow, back to topic I am making stocknig stuffer soaps for the kids. I am trading for other people to craft for ME this year Heather (thegnomeshop on etsy) is making the kids castles. I have a trade going on for doll clothes for the kids favorite cheap plastic Target dolls (noooooo they don't WANT toplay with their waldorf dolls every day... just the $2.99 9 inch baby dolls from target... oh well!) ummm. I think Heather is also making an art portfolio for Anna (I do a lot of embroidery files for her ) and um... if I ever get around to having hte spare $20 that doesn't need to go back into soap supplies for the craft show I am doing on Dec 1st I am going to have Lorrraine make Daniel some pants. OH Yeah, and I have someone ELSE making the kids matching jammies for the holidays.

so. um... no, not crafting for my kids LOL...

I love the pirate Christmas tree idea! That's what my pirate obsessed oldest daughter needs.
I don't think I'm making my oldest anything for Christmas this year, but I was thinking about sending her supplies so she can make things for herself. She loves knitting and sewing.
Aidan is going to be making jars filled with potpouri and strings of Christmas lights for each of his grandmothers and maybe his sisters.
I'd like to make something for Aidan, but I get very little time out of his sight when I'm not at work.
