Knitted farmyard animals

HI Everyone! I'm new here and I am actually doing a homemade Christmas this year, as much as possible anyways. I'm really very excited about it!! My two youngest are getting some playstands and a wooden kitchen that my DH is working on. I'm also making Waldorf dolls for them. I would also like to knit them some small farmyard animals. I've seen mention of the book The Knitted Farmyard online and Also Alan Dart's Farmyard frolics and his Noah's Ark patterns. But they are really hard to find. I guess because they are UK designers. Does anyone know where I could find these patterns? And if you have them, are they hard to do? I'm pretty much a beginner knitter and don't know much more than purl, knit and increase and decrease.

Thanks so much,
Kelli

If you are in the US then you can get the Knitted Farmyard by interlibrary loan. That's how I got it Also, this book is frequently available on ebay and sometimes at good price too, you just have to be patient.. The animals there are not too complicated at all, I have knitted most of them several times.

Thanks for your help. I just ended up buying it online. I would still be interested in finding Alan Dart's Noah's Ark pattern and the farmyard frolics though. So if anyone has any info on this, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks.

I too, would like to knit up some farm animals for my wee one. I found some great free patterns on Craftsters web site that have been posted. Try there. I know I have them book marked somewhere.........................

I am doing the Noah's Ark patterns..you can see my posts in the crafty mama's area I am not sure how easy it would be to obtain the pamphlet though since it came with an issue of Simply Knitting.

Thank you both for your help.
I've seen your cute Noah's Ark creations. They are adorable.
