um, err, HOLEY CRAP! I am doing a craft faire...

its a free faire if you do a demo so I was planning on doing easy bendy dolls.

um... I am nervous! I need to put together a pamphlet for people to take home (maybe a small folding booklet? I used to do this when I had a pagan store online...), a kit for making them (enough for 2 or 5 dolls?), some dolls in every stage of creation...

how the heck do i show in the pamphlet how to wrap the bendies? I mean, I will probably be printing them on my home printer, to make this affordable... I wish I could draw because if I could, I could draw the images... I suppose I will just have to take the pictures of each step on white fabric so that it doesn't show up too much when I put it in place on the paper?

any suggestions for display, time management, etc would be great! I have already set up with the kids to stay at mom's, and for Jeff to get the baby (lol, she will be 2 next month) and bring her to me around lunch time for nursing and snuggling...

but the only time I have ever done a booth was the farmers market years ago, selling bath goodies and slings... and I sold awhopping $16.50 I would much prefer to do much better this time

thank you!

oh, here is a picture of me back then

its really small I wish I was that skinny and had hair like that still... sigh..

I think that if you do a pamplet with detailed pictures of different stages and tons of pics that would be enough. You may want to include how to do different hairstyle and clothing styles but that's up to you. I have complete faith that you can do this. Hope you do well.

Well, aren't you energetic! Of course pictures are nicer but you could also draw. I think one of the pipecleaner stage, one of the wrapped body stage,
one with the head/ acorn on and then the finished product. Explanations in between and you are good to go. I lent out my wee folks book and I cant remember what pics are in there to save my life. are you going to be selling the kits?

Hi Jennifer!! Look att aht Teeny sig pic! AAAAAAAAAhh she has blonde hair! Riley looks just like Riley, though

I can't draw... I would LOVE a drawing but my talents certainly do not lie there... can you draw?

I am not sure about selling kits... I was thinking about it... booklet, a cut out dress and shirt and pants and 2 bodies...embroidery floss and a couple beads... but I just don't know???

I also thought about selling preembroidered doll clothes but I will have to find a way to make my machine work with this new computer... ugh...I really miss my old computer....

I sold my Wee Felt Book... I never used it...the clothes patterns were uneven I don't do intricate embroidery, and I never paint the faces...and I have some old funky 70s books that show floss wrapped dolls So I kinda already had it all covered and I needed the money

thansk for the ideas and encouragement!

Danielle has some great directions in the instruction forum, you might ask her about getting some ideas from that...

I might look at some worry-type doll booklets if I were you. Many years ago my mom got me a 'worry doll kit' that had a box of toothpicks, some floss, some beads and some glue with a pamphlet. I want to say it was that craft glue that comes in the gold tube? I still have that pamphlet someplace, but I bet the library would have books on either bendy dolls or worry dolls so you could see what kinds of things are out there and where they could be lacking and things like that.

hth!

yeah... I wish I could draw... I would really like a simple sketch of a close up of a bendy wrapped foot, then full leg, then doll with no head then finished doll.

anyone good at drawing country type stuff?

worse case scenario, I will do pictures its easy, and I can take it on a white backdrop to hopefully avoid too much ink usage and "dirty" background pictures I want to get it on a little half or quarter page booklet....

its a th ought, anyways

I am still so excited, but very nervous!
