Would that be rug hookers or crochet hookers? You know they each have their own fashion.

I rug hook. Not regularly tho. Preparing the wool flannel is a bit overwhelming right now so it's fallen to the way side.

I should just buy a kit because I do like to do it. But then again, not doing the WHOLE thing from scratch goes against my grain. rolling eyes at myself. lol

I crochet daily too, have tried rug making a la latch hook, and am learning to knit. I'm a gemini, I have to have something new every so often

I sew, paint, and glue stuff together too.... my hobbies/crafts multiply when I'm not looking!

Oh boy, do I know how that is! My craft closet has grown to encompass the closet, a set of wall cabinets, and a sizable portion of the crawl space!
I keep meaning to pare down, but I can't think of anything I want to give up.
Now I'm really lusting over the felted purses the knitters keep k&sing and all the ones I saw at the craft shows today. I have to learn to knit so I can have one too!

I've been told that I "need" to pare down, by dh of course yeah right!

I'm finding that knitting is best learned with someone sitting with me and showing me how, as opposed to using a book and the "I think I can" mentality. That's just me, but I also learned crochet over 15 years ago, and am just now picking up knitting. I just wanna make my own sweaters!

Has there ever been a knit-along like tutorial? That would be awesome

Punchneedle is fun!

Last winter I was laid up after an ankle operation and became a hooker, too! It's the perfect armchair craft and great for watching TV. I really had fun with punchneedle embroidery and made this little dollhouse rug, which I call "The Fairy Ring."

The neat part is you can easily punchneedle your child's drawing, making it a unique work of art!

thats one of the reasons Id love to punchneedle - take a drawing and make it into something ... especially a hand print or just something different to hang up ...

beautiful lil rug

I showed this to Delia in pm - but heres my first hooked item - I need to still finish it but its shown laying on some cranberry wool which ill round off and pink the edges but I may also stick another color between just for an added touch

I need to fix his eye since the look single strand goes kinda funky but heres my first attempt at hooking - quite proud of myself
