What size is an average bendy?

I have been wrapping my bendies for the fairies and fairy houses swap and making them my usual size, about 3.5Ļ. Today I received a package and it had a teeny 2Ļ bendy in it. Anyway, it really made me wonder what is the height of an average normal bendy.

I do 2.5". The only time I do bigger is when I make families. The parents are 4" or so. But I prefer the 2.5" ones because I feel that the larger ones get bent up and broken way easier than the 2.5 ones. I have a son who likes to roll up and throw and bend and move and wrap bendies around things. I still have my original little greenboy I gave him over a year ago which was a 2.5 one, but all of the 3.5-4 ones are a mess...
and I do 1.5 ones, too. for small sets and babies

I consider "average" a one-pipe-cleaner bendy...so 2.5" not counting hats

At least that's the Natural Playthings average lol.

Ah, actually I understand why most people donīt do 2 pipecleaner bendies. If you follow Sally Mavorīs instructions, the joint is not the best. I make mine in a way that each pipecleaner makes one arm and one leg and the center is twisted together. It is much much sturdier than one pipecleaner for arms, one for legs.

I think I will redo my bendies for the swap then, they are not dressed yet anyway

I do most of mine in the 3-4" range, mainly because I find it easier to add details to the larger ones. James doesn't play with them yet, so I have never had a problem with wear and never even thought about that!

I like the 4inch ones for the classroom--they just seem easier to pose and such. But I'm also coming out of a dollhouse background so the scale of 4 inch feels more comfortable to me too

Dear Mom and Dad- I may parent differently than you did. This does not mean that I think you did it "wrong." However, it also does not mean I am doing it wrong.

A craft along would be great for how you make you rlarger bendies. I make mine smaller as well, because I use only the one pipe cleaner. Unless they really need to be taller, lik ethe wizards I made. They needed to be 4"

You shouldn't remake yours! We love all sizes. They could be like the mommy bendies

Iīll try to do a craft-along tomorrow

I have had a horrible week and just want to relax today. Liisa was sick for the first time in her life and had a fever of 102+ for 3 days. And that meant constantly nursing, like 24 hours a day. And when the fever broke and she slept in peace for many hours I got mastitis. Well, I am better now (managed without any drugs) and I even made it to a spinning class (I got a drop spindle spinning class for my birthday, 3 hours on my own ) and tonight I am just resting. Who cares that the kitchen is overrun by dirty dishes, the floors are covered in I donīt know what kind of crumbs and I have million unfinished crafts. My baby is better and i feel good and tomorrow I will craft again. Or maybe after I have eaten supper....

when i first read this i thought you meant spinning as in the work out with the stationary bikes. i thought, wow, she's amazing to be working out after mastitis!!

anyway, glad you're better! mastitis blows, all the time i've gotten it i had to do abx-- i felt like death!

and glad your wee one is better. fevers are scary.
