Let me just say thank you to Jodi (Korwynne) for letting me study her book so I could try to do this on my own. That's the key..on my own..without the book..so she's kinda funny looking and I couldn't find acorns in my yard so no hat..but I'm pretty pleased with what I could do not knowing how to do blanket stitch or dress the dolly..I still need to finish the blanket stitching to complete her and I'm not 100% satisfied with her hair and may use some mohair instead of the wool stuffing.
So, without further ado..my very first bendy doll Oh..I apologize for the poor picture quality..apparantly it's too tiny for my camera to focus right I guess..
Thanks for checking it out..I'm so pleased with myself

Thanks everyone! I actually found that one of the fake flower bunches I bought has a tiny section that I can use for a tiny little hat..kind of matches with the skirt so I like it I'm working on a bigger bendy today...I sort of want to try to knit a tunic for this one just to see how it works out
Great job, Meg!!! I love the colors too and very nice stitching.
The fun thing about bendies is that once you get the hang of it, it is a breeze and the options are endless!! I have sooo many ideas in my head but never enough time to make them.
Fortunately, my 7yo makes her own .

She looks so cute!! I just started making some myself,(although I am unable to post pics). I didn't know how to blanket stitch either. For a hat I used a triangle of felt and gave her a scarf, no sewing!! My dd ripped it off right away and my son ripped off her hair, so i am using only flowers now. I use the big part for the skirt, a three leaf flower for a shirt, just glue it together, and then the little inside of the flower for a hat. They worked out really well and I don't care if my kids rip up these ones!!!
