I actually made it to the Japanese bookstore while in Seattle and picked up 5 books for myself. And one as a gift. They had SO many, I would've gotten more if I knew how to knit.

Do the books cost about the same in Seattle, etc., as they do on ebay?

Nope, in the store they were $12 for the big ones and $5.60 for the smaller ones, so it looks like there's about a $10 mark-up on eBay plus the spendy shipping from Japan. I knew there was no way I could go to Seattle and not check out that shop. They had all sorts of lovely things. I bought Duncan the "My Neighbor Totoro" storybook which is just gorgeous.

Thanks for the info! I have two friends who live in Seattle, and wouldn't hesitate to send either of them shopping for me Do you remember the info on where the shops were located? or what they were called? I'd love to get a couple of these books as well

Thanks,
Tamara

Your amazing. And your son looks just like you. I didn't know how much till I met you, but I saw it right away.
