smooch Ideas for shoe soles

I am looking for either a pattern or pre-cut suede soles for 6-12 month baby shoes. I will also take any creative ideas you have. I have a friend who will knit the rest if I get the soles. I am at a loss. I am hoping there is someone who knows.

Thank you.

Lacy

Do you want suede? Check out an upholsery place in your area and ask if you can get a few scraps (car and furniture upholstery) or see if the is a Tandy in you area. Also, the craft store have a leather section (AC Moore, JoAnn's and Michaels) with lots of choices.

I can't quite wrap my brain around what style of shoe you're looking for. If you have a knitting friend (lucky you.lol.) that has a shoe/bootie pattern, then you could add a suede sole after she's completed it.

Or are you looking for a pattern like a hanna sock-slipper moc?

My friend knitts shoes. I asked her if she could make them with suede soles; and she told me that she could do it if I get her the soles. She said they have to be cut out to the right shape and size. I don't know what that shape and size needs to be. I have an 8 month old.

Thanks for helping me clarify!!!

You will have to wait for her to knit the shoe I would think before you cut out the sole. Or do you mean she would knit the shoe corresponding to the sole you provide her with?

I bought a pair of soft sole shoes (0-6 m) at Target for $4. I can turn them inside out and scan the sole for you with the seam allowance, but if anyone else has the next size that would be better. JLMK

Another way is to trace his foot and then leave a little extra all around so he has room to grow.

She will knit around according to the sole I provide her with. That's why she needs it already sized. Thanks for asking.

can't you just go buy a piece of suede at joann's and cut it the same size as the sole of one of his pair of robeez?
