Little bendy people THREAD??

Hi everyone, i was just curious in regards to the bendy people, i use dmc thread at about 95cents each, making quite a few can get costly, what do you guys use to cover the pipe cleaner bodies? and how much does it cost?... i know things may be a little different as im in Australia and it sounds like you guys have much better and cheaper craft stores... thanks so much

I use dmc floss, too, and i think it costs around .35/skein. Unless it goes on sale, and then it's .25/each. I would say that, depending on size, I get 2 or 3 bendies per skein, so that's not too bad.

You could use whatever you wanted to just experiment and see what works- walkk around the crafts tores- there is crochet thread that would work- it's just not as soft- but I have used it.

I use that floss as well, and pay about $.29-.33 a piece for it. Maybe you can order it online to get it from the states cheaper? And since it is so light it shouldn't cost a ton to ship...

I agree, you could use crochet thread that comes on the spool (in the yarn section) but it's not as shiny as the dmc floss. I can't really think of anything else that would give you the same amt of coverage for the price. People usually post on the boards when supplies go on sale, so maybe one of the mamas here could pick up a whole bunch for you...shipping shouldn't be too bad since they're fairly light.

Dear Mom and Dad- I may parent differently than you did. This does not mean that I think you did it "wrong." However, it also does not mean I am doing it wrong.

I used some peach colored fingering weight yarn before. It worked...was great for coverage...just a bit too fuzzy for me. It's what I used to teach dd how to wrap bendies.
