And this... sigh... I love it.. I got WAY carried away with the accessories but I think that completely MADE the set! After looking at the felted playscapes from http://www.sagedreamdesign.com/ I was feeling a little discouraged about my own crafting ability (yeah, i know, us artsy types are sensitive, ) so, i started cutting felt and this is what happened!

Here are her herbs, oils and tinctures..Three of the jars open up.. so I filled them and her dinner
and she has a bed and green and brown dyed crockery and a fire to cook at
I am thinking about pricing the set at $45, since its a larger mat and has so many accessories What do you all think?

Dear Mom and Dad- I may parent differently than you did. This does not mean that I think you did it "wrong." However, it also does not mean I am doing it wrong.
I will bring my Selena-made mat and accessories to the playdate!! I agree that the inspiration that is found when seeing other peoples work is wonderful. Since joining Amity's (just last month) I have been able to dig a bit deeper than I had in a few YEARS to create again.
Really, very beautiful!!! I always try to imagine what my children will say about the things I have crafted and swapped for them. I hope that they think it is a very cool thing!!

Selena you are the play mat goddess.. Your work is amazing.. I think you have found your calling... All the lil goodies are tooo neat... I wish I could get one.
You know Selena, when I first saw your site I was all gushing over it and thought you are the greatest because I had not seen this kind of playstuff before. You inspired me to make some miniature stuff. Patty of the sagedramdesigns inspired me to think big and make big stuff. And in the same way Sherrie inspires the neatness side of me and Katie made me give wet felting another try. I think each and every one is an artist and everybody just has their own skill. It is just not comparable, kwim? Like you can't really compare mass production hand dyed yarn like Manos del Uruguay to mama dyed yarn.
And I so totally love your mats and all the accessories that you made for the second one. You gave me more ideas to try out on my own
