halloween

What crafts are you making for you own household?

What decorations do you usually put up?

What do you give to trick or treaters?

Is Halloween a big decorating holiday for you?

What are some of your favorite halloween decorations?

Pictures anyone?

Since most of my stuff is in storage I couldn't even tell you what we kept and what we gave to the neighbors before we moved out of our old house.

I know that we used to have a ton of tomb stones that me and my old neighbor made out of scrap plywood. We painted them to look like weathered tomb stones, but I know I gave them all to her. I also had a grave yard sign post that we made out of old weathered fence lumber, it looked really cool and creepy. I also gave her all of my spiders that I made out of dollar store white base balls and wire, they ended up looking more like ants, ROFL or that was what most people asked if they were when had them scattered around the yard.

I know I kept most of my inside decorations but they were more fall decorations than anything. I do have a few store bought tombstones and some plastic cauldrons. I'm trying to talk my grandfather out of his large cast iron one.

Halloween is a big decorating holiday for us, but I'm not sure it'll do much good where we are moving. Set off the road in the middle of 2 acres, no where near a neighborhood. But we will most likely decorate anyway.

One of my favorite decorations is a weird looking coconut shell head that my grandfather got from somewhere before I was born. I love using antique stuff, it looks more authentic to me somehow. I also have some wooden masks that he got from Mexico that make really cool decorations.

I just found a medical/science supplier so we can set up a weird science lab, but it will probably have to wait til next year.

My only piddly craft I'm doing this year is felt bats for the Early halloween swap and I'll make a few more for home.

I used to be really into decorating for holidays but once we had kids I didn't have the time. For Halloween i realy don't do anything. We only take Maya (and now Lily) to 2 or 3 houses because she doesn't eat candy LOL. Not sure what we will do when she's older and her craft genes take over but I am sure we will be decorating up a storm!

We dont really decorate either. It's just not a huge holiday for us. Ive got my hands full w/the art/craft type things I do now I dont have the time or desire really. Maybe when Caden's older and can partcipate we will do something.

We do give out candy, just your run of the mill anything you can buy at wal-mart or target.

I bought Caden's costume on ebay when he was 8 months old and it was waaaaaaaaaaay to big then lol. It's a handmade lion costume so cute. It fit him great last halloween and he loved trick or treating.

not sure what he will go as this year.

What crafts are you making for you own household? I am making a new garland and I plan to do other types of things with Lorna. We always make a scarecrow Most like with Lorna it will be little tissue ghosties and paper pumpkins since she is only 3.

What decorations do you usually put up? We put up EVERYTHING. I LOVE HALLOWEEN! I love the old vintage type decorations best.

What do you give to trick or treaters? Depends from year to year. Usually chocolate

Is Halloween a big decorating holiday for you? Oh yes..In fact I just bought a few things the other day. My hubby groaned when I walked in the door..LOL.

What are some of your favorite halloween decorations? My fav is carving the Jack O Lantern
