eyes Searching for Cross-Stitchers

Hello ladies... I'm looking for some other mama's who enjoy cross-stitch to swap some ideas for a pattern. I created my own design for a 'baby announcement' for my first son because I wasn't satisfied with the slim pickin's that were avalible at the local craft store. Now I'm 37 wks along with my second and would like to do another 'announcement' for this one, but need some ideas.

The first had a bug/nature theme. We knew it was going to be a boy, so I kept the colors fairly neutral. This time we don't know what this baby is going to be and I'm not sure what theme to use.

Any ideas? I'm really good at putting things together if I have something to work with. Anyone have any patterns that I might be able to shuffle around?

I'll post a picture of the first one tomorrow so that you can get a better idea of what I'm looking for.

Thanks for any help you can give me!
-Jeannine

I had Peter Rabbit with ds and I am ashamed to say I have not done one for dd yet. She is 2.5 yo. I am a little behind.

I have one that had a baby in a bassinet. Very sweet for either sex. I will see if I can find that one.

Or what if you just wait to see what you are having??? I think I will use the same Peter Rabbit one but put more pinks in it for dd. Maybe change the flower colors ( I think there are flowers) or somehow change it that it is more feminine. Could you make the bug one more girly, use butterflies, dragonflies and ladybugs??? I can't wait to see the bug one. Please hurry & post a pic.

HTH,

Here's the picture. I wanted to do something really different for this baby. But I may end-up using the same theme, just making a different layout with different colors.
