Went to Pier one and got 2 dragon fly eye type (one for each basket), a wooden bowling set and wooden dominos. They have all kinds of really cute stuff at Pier One Imports and at Cost Plus World Market if you have either of those stores near you. I moved away from our Cost Plus <sniff, sniff>. From the local toy store, my husband insisted on getting Gavin a ball that lights up when you bounce it

and I got Colin a Kaliediscope (horribley mispelled sorry bout that) I made for their baskets, crocheted Chicken egg covers. They whip up pretty easy if you want the pattern. Knitted sheep from the pattern in Toymaking with Kids. And since I couldn't help myself, one small thing of Jelly Bellys each.
So far Egg stuffers include:
polished rocks
Minerals like peacock stones, fools' gold, etc
finger puppet
rubber balls
small snails
We will add:
raisins, dried fruit, nuts, sunflower seeds and possibly carob chips
I'm sure I'm forgetting something. I had grand ambitions of making everything for thier baskets and eggs but well, that didn't happen.
I'd like to get more done but I don't think I will. I want to make some more finger puppets (I only got 2 done). Maybe more snails (I've traded most of mine away). The problem I'm running into, is every time I make something Colin finds it and asks if he can have it. I try to work on stuff for them, when he's asleep because he will ALWAYS ask for what I'm making, so often he hears, sorry honey its for other boys and girls. Poor kid.
