wool felt and fluffy yarn

I made a bunch of felt animals, only to find the cruddy felt pulled apart at stress points. It's not wool. Where can I find wool felt?

Also, someone was kind enough to offer links to a couple of places to get boucle and mohair, but I still can't seem to find the really wild colored stuff, like fushia and purple, or the really FLUFFY stuff, that's like boucle but hairy. I need help and evidently someone to hold my hand.

If you have an acmoore local to you, they have some great boucles & mohairs now, lots of different colors including wild ones!

Don't know of a source for wool felt, but you could maybe make your own with roving?

oh bummer, we don't have an ACMoore or a Joann's. So, am I pretty much out of luck? I see there is some wool felt in the magic cabin catalog, and I can't remember exactly, but it was like $9 a little square or something. I'd be afraid to use it!

I just need to make my daughter a big and little horse and a big and little dog. I had wanted to make a little tiny square "stable" type carry thing, to put them in to travel, but at this point, I'll be happy with whatever I can find! Perhaps I shouldn't wait so close to Christmas eh? I really thought the other felt would be fine for now, since it will be heavily played with, I was just planning on replacing as needed.

Try Kathryn at The Silver Penny she carries really nice wool blend felt packs at a very good price. And she is a super nice mama to boot!

Thank you Lorraine! I did want to try one more thing, before I bothered you, this time of year. I finally made it to Hancock's (I live inthe middle of no-where, it's a long way away, lol) and I found some brown! one color, but who cares. lol This will be wonderful.

Beth, I love the link you sent and I've got to get a sample pack! That would be so much fun to work with. I had ordered the animals a to z book for my daughter for Christmas. This pack would be great to go along with it.

Still no yarn, but I'm getting there! lol I still think maybe when I'm trying to use a search engine for the yarn, I'm maybe not using the correct terms or something.

Thanks again for the help, info and offer to send me some.
