Waldorf doll...how long to make one?

I am wanting to buy a kit to make one...thinking of the kits at Joy's Walfdorf Dolls. How long will it take to make one? I need it to be done by December 13 for the 7th night of channukah. Is this possible for a first timer???

I think you could do it. I started a jointed one yesterday and I got the head (facial features too), body and arms done. I could have gotten the whole thing done, but I ran out of body fabric, lol!

I think the thing that takes the longest to do, is the head. Cuz you have to use string to shape the head (the eye indents, ect), plus it takes alot of hand work. But, I think they are FUN to make!

Good luck!

I've made 6 and I can crank out a 16 inch Magic Cabin one in a night minus the hair. So two evenings total. I think you could totally do it. Start now though so you have time to work out any kinks.

it takes me about 6-8 hours to make a complete doll....including clothing. Bigger dolls run closer to 8hrs...smaller dolls with simple clothing take closer to 6.

But that's how long it takes me NOW...after making many dolls. It took my probably 10 hours the first time.
