bouncing bunny ISO: The Light in the Lantern

I'm looking for the book "The Light in the Lantern", with all the advent stories inside. I don't need the calendar. Does anyone have a copy they are willing to part with?

I've been checking over there fairly regularly, and they haven't had any copies, that's why I thought I'd ask here if anyone had one. I'll go look now and see if they still have any in stock. Thanks.

Edited to add I just looked and they are sold out. Shoot, I've been looking for this book since last year. Ah well, I guess another year won't hurt, right?

Y'know... I found it doing a google search of the title at a couple of UK bookstores. I have no idea what the shipping might be, but if you want it, it could be worth inquiring.

Like here: http://www.fetchbook.co.uk/compare.do?search=0946206236

Also, it's always worth calling your local bookseller with all the information (Author, Title, Publisher, ISBN, etc) and seeing if it's possible for them to order it for you.

Light in the Lantern

Hi! This is Kathryn of The Silver Penny.

I'm sad to say that we've sold out of The Light in the Lantern this year. The publisher's stock was low, so they didn't send as many as I ordered. Instead of 25, they sent me six! As soon as I opened the box, I knew it wouldn't be enough. I'm so sorry for this inconvenience.

We still have a few of the Advent calendars left.

I'd like to suggest another book with the same idea called "Christmas Roses: Legends for Advent." There are readings for each day of advent, which correspond to the Christmas Roses calendar or can be enjoyed without the calendar. It is a hardcover book with beautiful typeface that lets you know you're reading a special, holiday collection of stories.

If you want to learn more & see some of the story titles in the book, check the Light in the Lantern thread posted on the AmityMama Market board. Thanks!

Tha book looks interesting. It's not set up with the animal, mineral, etc format that the Light in the Lantern one is, though, is it?

I think I'd like to order one from you. I'm in Canada, so how does my shipping get calculated?

Dear Sabina:

You're right, "Christmas Roses" isn't set up mineral, animal, etc like "Light in the Lantern." I don't see any progression like that from my perusal of the book. I have read several of the stories and they are all very good, so far.

Depending on the weight of your order, shipping to Canada usually isn't any more than the programmed amounts already in the shopping cart. (Unless your order is heavy.) A book or two and light weight items usually are covered by the fee. If more is needed, I will contact you by email or visit the website and send an email with the list of your items you'd like to purchase and I'll get back to you regarding shipping cost. (I do require that customers outside the US be responsible for actual shipping cost.) Thank you!
