Felt masquerade masks cns

A friend and her husband were going to a party last night and I've done a few masksfor other projects, so she decided I needed to make her something at the last minute. The firebird is made using silk poinsettas I had left over from the decorations from my wedding, the dragonfly is just painted and edged with beads. Both are used making felt stiffened in glue thinned with water. It was a quicky thing, but I really like how they turned out.

Those are wonderful. How did your friend like them?

I love doing masks. I haven't done one in a long time. The last one I made was covered in feathers.

Have glue gun, will travel lol. Actually the beads are half beads and pre-strung, so they go on really quickly.

How fun! DH and I had the hand held masks as wedding favors! We met in a mask making class freshman year in college! We put them in with the roses as centerpieces!

Those are REALLY COOL!

Is the wool also shaped? It looks like the second one has a shaped piece for over the nose.
