On Easter morning we take a walk outside and have found fairy eggs in our yard. On rainy Easters they appear in the Easter basket.
The kids think they are the coolest, most magical things. Somehow the fairies put little gifts (in a bed of confetti) inside of real eggs. The outside of the egg is covered in glued pieces of tissue paper and sprinkles with extra fine glitter. We haven't figured out how the fairies get candy and treasures inside real eggs though. We have to smash them to get at the treats.
here's pics from 4yrs ago...lol now they get smashed so fast there's no time for pics.

How neat! I have never had faires come to my house and I wish they would. We really didn't want the Easter Bunny coming, but Faries I could handle.
We don't have any Easter/Spring traditions as of yet. My twin boys will be two next month so before now they have really been too young to do anything.
I am going to start the tradition of sewing them something new to wear. I always got a new Mommy made dress on Easter.
So, I am looking forward to others ideas.

I think I know, but maybe we could work on talking the fairies into a visit next time we get together? Or would, ahem, that be too obvious to the kiddos. Not sure how we'd do that without spilling the fairies' secret, IYKWIM.

We don't celebrate Easter- we follow Native American traditions, but we do celebrate Equniox's and Solstace- so I was thinking of having a Spring Equinox basket or something like that!

Yeah, yeah. Send the fairies here too!
I saw some kids with something similar last year on Easter. THey were bigger kids and found great joy in SMASHING the eggs. IT was a bit of a confetti mess (at a public park). Still, I'm quite interested. And, it means I don't need to dig out the plastic eggs!
