I feel like I'm missing something. The felt balls are beautiful, and the felted soaps look really neat, and like they would be kind of fun to try. What exactly is the point of felting soap, though? Don't you end up using up a great deal of the soap during the felting process? Does the felt dry well in between uses? And what happens when the soap is finished, or almost finished? Do you end up with a soggy hunk of felted wool?

They have improved with age. We still have one of them and I occasionally take a felting needle to it when I can't stand looking at it any more.
That is what mine look like, LOL! I made little antlers on a horse body to make a deer, and he is now a "reindeer" on our nature table (I won't post a pic, LOL!). Then my mom & I made a Waldorf doll for DD, and spent Thanksgiving taking the dolls head off as the string that goes under her chin in front was sneaking up toward her mouth. We had to restuff her head AND her body as the wool was compacting - her pants kept falling down! *sigh*
