One near and dear to my heart - Shriner's.
The hospital puts a handmade quilt on every bed in the hospital when a child is an inpatient. They also have a bin of toys available for the outpatients (Jack had a ball playing with a handmade wooden truck - but we put it back because I knew he'd tire of it once we got it home and I hoped another little boy might find some joy in it as well - Jack didn't notice

).
The bin was filled with handmade "teddy bears" - just the outline shape. They were so sad and naked, made from muslin.
Anyway - I know how great it is after being in the car for hours and hours to get there, and waiting to see the docs, to have something new to play with and keep you entertained.
All Shriner's locations accept new toys
