What do you do with clothing too used to donate? Recycle!

My sis was trying to find out what to do with her used clothing that is in such poor condition that it is not good enough for Goodwill/Salvation Army/D.I. She looked around online and found this:

"If you have a small quantity (under 100 lb) of material we can recycle
for you. You can send it to my attention at

Bro-Tex, Inc.
800 Hampden Ave
St Paul, MN 55114

Erwin Rendall
Director of Sales and Marketing
BRO-TEX, Inc.
651-645-5721
erendall@brotex.com"

So, do it!

Our local homeless health care center/ community kitchen has a program where they sort very used clothing for recycling. It helps promote employement locally with a very needy population and keeps stuff out of the landfill!

So be sure and check to see if you have such a program locally

Our church has a small free thrift store (used and new items are free)
People donate everything like you would to Goodwill ykwim.

Any items that are stained or tore are made into quilts. They save the good parts of the fabric. ykwim

Then the quilts go to the womens abuse shelter. When they get set up in their new home, they have a quilt for their bed.

Maybe you have something like that local....
