Miracle Diapers- needs donations of used dipes/slings for low income families
For anyone with diapers they don't want/need or for anyone low income needing diapers you can apply or donate to Miracle Diapers - either actual dipes, wraps and slings or finances to support her efforts (washing, drying, packaging, repairs etc). http://www.miraclediapers.com/default.php
Ruth is a friend of mine, watches Ava all the time and Katie/Lakshmi_mama also knows her. I trust her completely. I've seen the diapers she's been sending out, I know this is one way for her to "give back" for all the grace in her life and help she's received at times. She's an AP Christian homeschooling mama and working toward becoming a doula, and her dh is attending seminary school here in Portland.

Just talked to Ruth, she's been swamped with mamas applying for dipes and has been working hard to get things out so her availability with email has been spotty. She's catching up though, so if you haven't heard back from her within the week please try again.
FAT FACT:
20 years ago a standard cup of coffee was 8 ounces and had 45 calories.
Today's 16 ounce cup of "brand" coffee has 350 calories.
You need to walk approximately one hour and 20 minutes to burn off the extra 305 calories in the "brand" coffee.
What an awesome woman she is! I would've loved to have something like that around when DD was an infant. I will be sure to send off all of DD's diapers to her. After she gets through her new bedwetting issues (she has been potty learned since 16-18 months of age).

Thanks for posting this, Amy! I posted it when she started and I think that some mamas here have been generous and have also benefitted from her efforts. Ruth is one in a million. I sewed a couple dozen prefolds and tons of wipes for her during the last stash game. I am so thrilled knowing that they will go to a good home and be appreciated. And passed on. That is important to me.

Oh, I've sent stuff to them and it's such a GREAT feeling to kiss those dipes goodbye knowing they will soon be a sweet new bottom!
I wonder if she'd be at all interested in adding a sling section? Many mamas have or make slings and there are many mamas out there who might need one to keep their little ones close.

Nancy that's a great idea! I'll suggest it to her.
I just mailed Ruth all my dipes. It does Feel Great sending them to her and the families.
I have a sling too, that never worked for me and addison. So if she's interested...I have it.
thanx,
beth
I have some good condition AIOs I could send, (dd uses the potty and I've sold off everything else) but to be honest, I can't afford the shipping right now.
I would bet I have anywhere from 5-20... I think mostly size medium.
Does she do ffs? Anyone know? I really don't mind donating, but maybe I should wait until I can ship them?
