Talking Don't forget about MILK BANKS!!!

There are 2 ways to donate to a milk bank. The first would be to donate your milk if you have a thriving baby, have an abundant supply and are healthy yourself. You need to have on average 100-250 ozs of breastmilk to donate (as they have to process the milk, ship it from you to them, etc) but just know your milk would go to those who really need it.

The second way is to donate money. This would be a tax deductable donation, and it doesn't have to be a huge amount to make a difference! Milk banks are not for profit and save many lives!

If you wish to donate, just find a milk bank and call! You can do a search and get the list, I believe there are just 6 in the US. The money will help cover their operating costs, not fatten their own wallets!

We are about to recieve more donor milk through a milk bank in Denver. We owe them a small fortune, yet they are about to send my ds even more milk since he hasn't been doing so well (I don't want to go into details just yet...from experience).

I am posting this in hopes that perhaps even 1 of you donated to a milk bank. If you want to donate towards our son's account you can email me (mommytorres@msn.com). I didn't post this for donations to his account, if someone wanted to help...I am not going to stop them! He will be getting 12 oz a day at $3.50 per ounce to start.

The important thing is that people know you can donate money to a milk bank to help sick babies, toddlers, children and adults with serious illnesses.
