Breastfed 4 month old reacts to dairy products in my diet.
At around 3 months my boy came down with severe cradle cap, on his face too and eczema over most of his body. It was suggested that I try eliminating dairy products from my diet, I did and both conditions improved dramatically.
His bms also changed back to the yellow mustardy type again when they had become more of a darkish green for several weeks. Is this further proof of allergic reaction?
I've been unable to find info on cradle cap being related to a nursing mother's diet and wonder if this is a concidence.
Does anyone have any similar experience?
When were you able to add dairy back into your diet, if ever or could you get away with eating small amounts here & there with no significant effect?
I miss yogurt & cheese and am a lacto-ovo vegetarian so the dairy is a significant source of protein, calcium & b-12 for me, though I know other ways to get these in my diet.
Thanks for anything you can share!
