I know people used to try to sell in on ebay and not get caught. I believe that it is actually illegal to sell breast milk.

"Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law?
Jesus said until him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And, the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments have all the law and the prophets."

Milk banks sell milk that has been pasteurized and treated and meets a certain requirement. But, individuals donate their milk to milk banks.

okay, I found this: "Determine the legality of selling breast milk by checking state laws and the CDC for liability issues. Find out more about whether or not breast milk is prohibited or regulated with advice from a certified family mediator in this free video on legal information."

I, personally, find the concept offensive. And, that comes from someone who has donated several gallons worth of breastmilk. I feel that extra breastmilk should be freely given as an act of love. But, if you are intent on doing so, rock on. Maybe check your state laws regarding breastmilk, write up an informed consent statement that includes a release of liability, and the put it out there on Craig's List. I'd bet you could get some great money from fetishists.

Why don't you be ethical and donate your milk. You are not losing money by donating. I donated to a woman who adopted her baby.

Donating milk and/or volunteering at a milk bank is awesome. I ended up having less than I expected, so I volunteered. It was amazing to hear the stories of babies and even adults who had been saved by donated milk.

There are other ways to make money. Breastmilk is needed so badly by so many.
