Weaning tips?

My third kiddo is 2 years 4 months and now I'm 13 weeks preggo with #4. I am completely exhausted and thinking I need to make some changes for my own health...first being he needs to sleep in his own bed and second being that it's time to wean. He nurses at bedtime but it doesn't put him to sleep and the last month I don't hear any swallowing so I'm wondering if the milk didn't dry up and he's using me as a pacifier...

Anyways I would love some tips or ideas to make the weaning go easily!
TIA

don't offer, don't refuse is the gentlest weaning technique.

I'm pretty stumped myself when it comes to my 2-year-old nursling who quite literally nurses more times per day than her 5-month sister!

However, I stumbled onto this Q&A recently which sounds like good advice:
Positive Discipline

I did it! And it was a lot easier than I thought. He still asks but the times are getting fewer and far between. I made sure he had a big dinner the first night and then when he asked I said "you ate it all" and that was that...no huge fit or anything...I was shocked LOL

And then about a week ago I moved him to his own bed...he's not loving that and neither am I but I need the sleep. I told my husband I missed him while we were laying in bed two nights ago and he said he could crawl all over me if I'd like...I offered to kick him in the head and we agreed it's better that our sweet little guy sleep in his own bed

Oh and right after I first wrote this post my dr's office called and said I was badly anemic...so with the toddler changes, diet changes and a good prescription iron pill life is looking up
