Help, I need weaning suggestions.

I posted awhile ago , that I am still nursing M(3.7yrs.) I weaned Bailee, at 3 yrs, easily, becasue she was ready. I know M isn't yet, but I am.

I have told her twice a day. She usually nurses in the morning ,before I even get out of bed. Then again sometime in the afternoon. She is sitting here, as I type this lying in the floor screaming and crying she wants "numnum". I have told her no, because she asked her Daddy to make her some waffles and he is doing so. But she has decided not to eat them, becasue she thinks she will get to nurse. I don't know what to do. It is breaking my heart to see her so upset, but at the same time , i cannot let her know it is okay to waste food and tell someone you want something and not eat it.

Sorry this post turned into a discipline/weaning one...lol

What should i do?

It's hard. . .I pumped (I could have fed my own baby army!) and gave it to Allena in cups, then slowly started cutting it with regular milk. She was nearly 2, and I have in-laws that don't understand, so I got pressured.

Made up for stopping at 4 mo with my firstborn. . .

No real advice, just want to let you know you're not alone. I'm not even really trying to totally wean Louisa, just cut back because this pregnancy has made my nipples so sore. Giving up the am nursing was the hardest for her. It has been over a month since a sropped nursing her in the morning, and she still asks to most days. It was over 2 weeks before she stopped crying and begging every morning. She can have hot chocolate with breakfast since she can't nurse then anymore, and that helps a bit, although she'd still rather nurse if she could. I think it would actually be easier for her to give up naptime and bedtime nursing (the only 2 sessions left), but it's just too painful for me in the morning.
