Wahhhhh...my "baby" boy is weaning!
Okay, I know he is almost five...but I'm still sad. Jake only nurses once every few days now, and only if the boobies are exposed...like I change my shirt for bed, he sees them and asks, and nurses for a minute or two.
He is also getting less cuddly, more independent.
He's most likely my last...I am so sad, mamas...a whole chapter of my life, seven years of nursing, is coming to an end. I feel so old.

Weaning time can be wonderful and sad all at once.
It sounds like the two of you had a great breastfeeding relationship. Such sweet memories you'll have.

I have no idea how i will relate to my kids when we stop nursing. Thankfully my son is only 2yrs old so i am hoping we still have manywonderful years of breastfeeding ahead. But it is so much a part of how we relate to each other!
I think it is wonderful that you haev let yoru son decide he is ready to move on, and you shoudl be very of yourself!

Ahhhhh. My 4 1/2 year old has been weaning himself over the past several months too. He just moved on, I guess. No big hoopla, just...done...even with his little brother still going strong, just a big kid now, I guess. I love seeing how he is now as he gets bigger, but wow, he still is my little guy. Soooo, I sympathize.
