Do you think toddlers have some memories of nursing?

Jack crawled up in my lap today and sat in it like he did when he was nursing (6 months ago). He lifted my shirt and put his head on my bare belly. He looked up at me and put his ead back and shifted around a little bit and then said, mama can I have your boobies? lol Do you think he has some sort of memory, maybe brought on by the positon he was sitting in and the skin to skin contact? I was quite amazed and I'm really hoping he somehow remembers it a little...

I bet he does remeber it very well. Hunter weaned after dd was born (he was 3) but he still vividly remebers it. He also can tell me things that happend when he was 2 so I think they can remeber such inportnat things like nursing. I'm banking on it so when they grow up they will want thier babies to be nursed.

Absolutely. Lo weaned about six months ago. She then spent the next six months FACINATED with "nipples." Last month we were flying. While at the airport, she climbed into my lap, snuggled her face right at my chest, sighed and said, "nipples" in the most reverent tone of love. I wonder what everyone around us was thinking.

Dude, my 10 yo weaned at 2.5 when the next baby came, and she can still describe what it tastes like, and I swear would still be going if I had let her!

And my 8 yo weaned at 3.5, and to see how he is now, you would swear I had only weaned him a couple of months ago. I tell dh he is going to be one of the guys with a huge breast fetish, cause he LOVES them soo much! He would def still be going if I had let him!

i hope so.
Roman is currently weaning. Initiated by me admittedly, but its happening nevertheless. He's not nursed today at all. He asked three times and I redirected him each time. He didn't nurse to sleep tonight

i hope he remembers. Zoey does - she's 4 1/2 and we weaned around the same age as Roman is now, around 20 months. She thinks its silly that she used to drink milk from me when she could've had "ice cold cows milk with cookies".

I nursed Sarah until she was 2, Christian was 3 y/o. Both say they do not remember nursing. I have noticed that both are snuggle type ppl. Christian is 10 y/o and will still climb on my lap and snuggle. I did not bf my oldest ds and he is not a cuddle/snuggle type person at all.
Elizabeth will be 4 y/o, this June, and is still nursing. I hope she remembers since she is my last child to bf.
