when I go to feed Vivian sometimes she will take a few sucks then pull back, flail her arms and get mad. Then she wants back on and does the same thing. I am pretty sure it is not a supply issue (i hope not anyway). I soak through a shirt when I let down.

Any ideas or advice?

Sounds like your milk comes either
1) too fast, so she is angry that she is getting too much all at once
2) too slow and she's ticked

I had kids that did the same thing...it is frustrating, but it sorts itself out eventually..not a whole lot you can do about it, but try and relax your shoulders, and reassure her that all is well.
I used to massage my babies bum and legs when they did it and it calmed them down.

I would bet it's fast letdown. I've squirted myself in the eye before & almost hit the ceiling w/ the spray. It has sorted itself out though, she only gets pissy every now & then when she's tired.

I agree, Rieslin will pull off as soon as I let down because I have a forceful MER and it chokes her.

Kellymom has some good info on this. Unfortunately, I had the opposite problem of not enough. I have had friends who said that epressing some milk into the sink first did the trick. I hope things are improving.
