Fennel seed, nettles, and red raspberry leaf are also good, but the most important thing is nurse like crazy. Giving her as much skin contact as possible will help encourage her to nurse a lot. (I wore button-down shirts unbuttoned for at least the first 2 weeks and kept Louisa in just a diaper and hat against my chest most of the time.) Also make sure you're drinking enough water and getting enough sleep.
Congratulations!

It just occured to me- aren't you diabetic? Fenugreek is a no-no for diabetics. All the other galactagogue herbs are fine, though.
I hope you'll keep us posted on how everything's going.

I use a product called lactaflow. It is a concentrate of goats rue and fenugreek. Other girls I know use just goats rue. From what I understand, it works better than fenugreek alone.

Mine is covered by insurance and it has made a BIG difference for me. I know there are side effects, but I have only seemed a bit more tired (LOL, cause I have twins so it could be that alone). My let down is much faster already and the twins are getting more milk. It is worth a try rather than quitting all together! BTW, it is very cheap if not covered by insurance $19.00 or less for 100 pills.

Thank you, Jennifer

Can you believe our twins are "3" already?

Yes, they are twins even though one is a full head taller. (Carter-taller, Collin tinier). Shirts made with love by Mommy!
