could I have mastitis ??

I have breastfed my older two kids and thankfully never had any problems or infections,
Now breastfeeding my 2 month old and for 2 days now my left breast is very sore ( not the nipple itself but the entire breast) and i noticed a rash on the upper portion. It hurts when I let down and when I nurse? could this be mastitis ? Do I need antibiotics?

any advice would be great

thankyou

I've never had mastitis (thankfully), but iirc if there is redness and it feels hot then that is a good indication that that is what you have. I think flu like symptoms are common too. Antibiotics are an option, don't know if there is a natural remedy or not.

Sorry that's not much help. Hope you are feeling better soon.
