OT: Need breastfeeding help!
Okay, my friend's dd is 21 and pregnant. My friend wants her to make an informed decision about whether or not to nurse. The dd was saying stuff like "its disgusting and un-natural".
However, after a bit of talking to, she agreed to try it.
We would like to give her some simple print-outs like "25 good reasons to breast-feed" or "25 myths about breast-feeding, etc." Do things like that exist?
Anyone know sites that I could print out a bit of info from? We will get her a book, too. For now we want to give her a little info at a time. It's her choice, and we don't want to overwhelm her.
Also, anyone know a site that mentions the expense of bottle-feeding if you don't have WIC checks?

for the book, i recommend "so thats what they're for" by janet tamaro.
i know i have the info somewhere.... and even with wic checks, wic is supposed to be a SUPPLEMENTAL nutrition program. meaning the parents should still have to buy some of their children's food themselves.
