I need a new electric pump, the one I have really hurts, it's a first years one, so I was looking at a medela pump at the store, and was just wondering if any of you have used that brand and like it. It's the same brand that they have at they have for rentals at the hospital.

first years, huh? Ouch!
I've used an Ameda purely yours double electric and love it. Medela is a good brand but I have no personal experience with it.
I'd also suggest an Avent Isis pump. I could get as much out with that (even though it's manual and single besides) as I could with my double electric and it only took 2 minutes more.
As long as you don't get another first years, gerber, evenflo, or pretty much "bottle name brand" electric pump, you should be okay.
Look for Ameda, Medela, Bailey, and Lansinoh (Does Amea and Bailey products under their name) pumps.


I'm sorry, I rambled. Let me sum it up here Yes, Medela is a good pump! Just make sure you get "enough pump" for your needs.

i have used all but the symphony from medela and i think everything from ameda. found they all worked well for me.
