What about when a toddler weans, and then wants to BF again?

I've got a question...

My dd weaned very very quickly, like within 2 weeks she was just finished. Went from nursing all the time to nothing, and it seemed to me that she got to the age where she could do so many things, she was 2 years 2 months, that she just didn't want to sit still for nursing anymore, it wasn't a nursing strike.

Anyway, the past few months, she's been asking to nurse all the time, and begs me to let her try. I do, but there's not any milk anymore and she gets a pitiful look on her face and tells me her mommy milk went away. I know it's a comfort to her and probably a fond memory, she frequently tells me she loves my "beeboos" and pats them, which she also does to both her grandmothers.

I just wondered if anyone else has had a toddler wean quickly then want to come back to it? And should I let her? I really don't mind if she nurses, and honestly, expected her to go on til she was at least 3, I was quite shocked when she weaned, lol. I know there are times when she's tired and I can tell she really wants to nurse and is so disappointed it's not there anymore, and I've started to wonder about relactating. Am I totally weird for even thinking that?

I have this feeling when I get pg again and am nursing a new baby, she's going to jump up in my lap and start nursing again, lol.

I have to tell you that DD *weaned* 3 times so far! LOL I keep thinking she's really done and then all of a sudden she starts nursing again.

I say, if you're comfortable with it and she wants to... let it happen. She may want to nurse when you have another- or she may be overwhelmed with it all and not. Do what *you* feel you should!
