Thumbs up Any mama's read Beverly Lewis's books? Great Amish series...

I absolutly LOVE her books! She is a christian writer, but her specialty is in Amish novels and series. They are so uplifting, and women empowering.

The series of her's that I'm reading now is Abram's Daughters #3. And I've read all her other series

Anyone else read her books? Do you like them? If you go to the publisher's website, they have tons of other great books...

My other favorite author is Jane Kirkpatrick. She writes novels/series based on real people. Mostly they are about the Oregon trail and beginning territories. She also lives in Oregon! Another women empowering writer

I have read Abram's Daughters, 1 and 2. I didn't know 3 was out yet. Thanks for letting me know!

I do like that series, but I have never read anything else of hers. I picked up A.D. #1 at a yard sale, then bought #2 last year when it came out.

I LOVE her books! I finished #3 of Abrams Daughters about 5 weeks ago and can't wait for #4. I think I have all her books. I'm fascinated with the Amish life.

I have all three of the Abram's Daughters series and have been waiting anxiously for #4. I have the Shunning, the Confession, and the next one in that series as well.
For other Christian writers, I really like Janette Oke (I think she is great for the pre-teen, teen set as well) Lori Wick, Karen Kingsbury, and Francine Rivers. If you like mysteries, Dee Henderson is also great.
